I have known Martin Chapman for over ten years, during which time I have commissioned ten pieces of furniture, ranging from purely decorative pieces, to domestic furniture through to garden furniture. The majority of his work for us has been in oak. In each case he has combined simple, beautiful design with practicability and durability. He has an excellent eye for matching furniture to its surroundings. All the furniture that he has made for us remains fresh looking and continues to work perfectly, in some cases nearly ten years later.

I have also seen his work for other commissions, which has been of a similar high standard to our own. In the future I am intending to commission other pieces of furniture from him and would not hesitate to recommend his services.
